WHO administers first Malaria vaccine in Malawi

THE World Health Organisation (WHO has good news to countries affected by Malaria. The first Malaria vaccine has been “created,” and the first person to receive it is a Malawian child, Lusitana (pictured above, courtesy of WHO/ Mark Nieuwenhof).

The WHO project on the vaccine started in 2019 with the aim of reaching at least one million children worldwide. The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was party to the project, hence the focus on children as the first priority.
